Pallet Rack Systems in Myrtle Beach, SC

Choose storage by how the load moves: individual pallets, repeat pallet quantities, long bundles or hand-picked cartons. We plan, supply and install new selective, pushback, pallet flow, drive-in, cantilever and carton flow systems.

Palmetto Coast Industrial Park in Longs offers 32 ft clear space. Holmestown Road in Socastee has small multi-tenant bays, while Conway’s US-501 corridor mixes flex buildings with larger industrial sites. Seasonal inventory and building dimensions decide which system belongs where.

Match Access, Rotation and Load Size

Selective pallet rack keeps every pallet reachable. Pushback combines several pallets behind one aisle face when last-in, first-out handling suits the stock. Pallet flow separates loading from picking for first-in, first-out rotation. Drive-in stores repeat quantities in lanes the forklift enters.

Cantilever supports lumber, pipe and long building materials without front uprights between loads. Carton flow brings cases and totes forward for order picking. Several systems can share one warehouse when reserve stock, bulk inventory and picked orders have different handling needs.

Position counts must leave room for receiving, dispatch, forklift turns and replenishment. Check loaded pallet weights, clear height and truck capacity at the proposed beam elevations. A dense storage block that crowds the loading area may not serve the operation.

Salt air and high humidity near the coast make finish selection worth reviewing. Unconditioned buildings also need summer crew-staging plans, while June–November storm season affects installation scheduling. Bring those conditions into the consultation with your inventory records.

    Warehouse Racking Questions

What size pallet rack do I need?

Standard 48-inch deep pallets usually sit on 42-inch deep uprights. Common beam lengths are 96 inches for two 40-inch pallets, plus 108 and 144 inches for wider loads. Height comes from your clear height and the forklift’s lift height. Measure your real pallets before choosing.

How much weight can pallet rack hold?

There is no single number. Beam capacity is stated per pair, per level, and frame capacity depends on frame height and beam spacing. We size beams and frames from your heaviest pallet, and the rated capacities go on load plaques at the installation.

How many pallet positions fit in my warehouse?

The count depends on clear height, aisle width and the forklift you run. Our free CAD layout gives the exact position count for your building before you commit to any material.
